Period Poverty Awareness Week Panel Discussion

The Junior League of Wilmington, DE (JLW) is proud to recognize Period Poverty Awareness Week by hosting a crucial Panel Event on Monday, May 12, 2025, dedicated to shedding light on the often-hidden crisis of period poverty and its far-reaching consequences for individuals who menstruate in our community. The event is open to the public and will delve into the significant physical, mental, and financial burdens caused by a lack of access to essential period supplies.

You will have the unique opportunity to hear firsthand experiences and insights from professionals working on the front lines of this issue, fostering a deeper understanding through open dialogue and a dedicated Q&A session.

This free event will underscore the profound health impacts of period poverty on Delaware residents. The inability to access necessary period products prevents teens and adults from fully engaging in school, work, and daily life, impacting their overall well-being.

Attendees are encouraged to join us in making a tangible difference by holding a collection drive or bring a donation of pads and tampons to the event.

Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP here if you plan to join us.
