Noreena Sondhi Lewis, JD

Noreena works at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Pediatric Residency Program as the Coordinator of the Community Pediatrics and Advocacy program. She is responsible for managing the advocacy curriculum that all residents receive over the course of their training at the hospital and oversees all of the advocacy projects that the residents pursue. Noreena also does some teaching in the rotations she manages, helping resident physicians learn about legislative advocacy and how to understand and talk about trauma. She also is interested in physician wellness, and she organizes and attends the residents’ annual retreats, and has also started leading a monthly support group for the second-year residents. Prior to leaving the practice of law, Noreena clerked for the Honorable Gary S. Glazer in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and also worked for the Support Center for Child Advocates, representing medically fragile children in the child welfare system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Noreena is serving in her second year on the Board as Vice-Present of Membership and has found a wonderful community of diverse women within the League. She is dedicated to helping all league members feel included and appreciated and has joined the Diversity & Inclusion Task Force this year to help support her role in membership. Noreena lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, twin daughters, and two pugs. She is an active runner and enjoys participating in local races in the community.
