Melissa is honored to serve as President-Elect for the Junior League of Wilmington. She joined the League in August 2016 after moving to Delaware because she was looking for ways to work with other women to improve the community and sharpen her leadership skills. Her placements have spanned every council, and her most rewarding placement so far was being the Provisional Co-Chair. By teaching new members about the League and how we fulfill our mission, she strengthened her connection to the League.
Professionally, Melissa is a Senior Economic and Fiscal Analyst with the Delaware Department of Finance, Office of Research and Analysis. She conducts tax policy analysis and revenue forecasting for the state’s General Fund. It was her previous job with the Delaware Office of Management that brought her to Delaware. She grew up in Illinois and attended the University of Puget Sound in Washington state. Although she has only been in Delaware for five years, she has lived in every county. When she’s not working or participating in Junior League events, Melissa plays rugby for the Wilmington Rugby Football Union and enjoys looking for antique furniture to fill her home.
