Melissa Marlin, President

Melissa Marlin

Melissa is honored to serve as President for the Junior League of Wilmington. She joined the League in August 2016 after moving to Delaware because she was looking for ways to connect with other women and learn about her new community. Her placements have spanned every council, and her most rewarding placement so far was being the Provisional Co-Chair. By teaching new members about the League and how we fulfill our Mission, she strengthened her connection to the League.

Professionally, Melissa is a Senior Economic and Fiscal Analyst with the Delaware Department of Finance, Office of Research and Analysis. She conducts tax policy analysis and revenue forecasting for the state’s General Fund. She grew up in Illinois and attended the University of Puget Sound in Washington state. Although she has only been in Delaware for five years, she has already lived in every county and visited all 17 state parks. When she’s not working or participating in Junior League events, Melissa enjoys shopping for antiques and visiting Delaware state parks to go hiking or birding. She also recently returned to rowing after a six year hiatus.
